13 October 2014, second CD release, titled 'Stray Cat's Dream', supported by JSPS and the Tokyo University of the Arts, under the UK-based label Sargasso.

This recording, featuring combinations of western and traditional Japanese instruments (sho, 20-stringed koto) explores the possibilities of the Japanese aesthetic wabi-sabi in contemporary music composition. A third release to follow in spring 2015.

In October 2014, composer-in-residence position taken-up in UMP (United Music

Publishing) with eleven new scores of music planned for publication in early 2015. Most of these, relate to Japanese subjects (i.e. poetry,

aesthetics) and were composed during doctoral and postdoctoral research http://www.ump.co.uk/mapcomp.htm

 

6 and 12 December, music performance project with Japanese cultural influences in Greece, under the auspices of the Japanese Embassy in Greece and the Hellenic-Japanese Association. It features music by Japanese, British and Greek composers including two World Premiers. The Japanese composer Aya Okajima will come from Japan to attend the premier of her work while the work by the established music critic George Leotsakos 'Haiku' will be performed in the presence of the composer.
