JSPS London Office 10th Anniversary Celebrations at The Royal Society
JSPS London Office 10th Anniversary Celebrations was held at The Royal Society on Friday 4th June 2004. The event aims to celebrate the ten year history of the JSPS London Office since the opening of the office in April 1994 and the achievements in the promotion of academic and scientific collaboration between Japan and the United Kingdom. Professor Atsuko Toyama, former Japanese Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, delivered a lecture entitled University Reforms in Japan to Usher in a Century of Knowledge also present were Professor Dame Julie Higgins, Foreign Secretary and Vice-President of The Royal Society and Professor John H. Lawton, Chief Executive of the Natural Environment Research Council amongst other distinguished guests.
