Small Scale Seminars Series |

| The Small Scale Seminar Series was first introduced
on 15th October 2002 and held at the University College London. Seminars were held
in fields of Life Sciences, Engineering and Physical Sciences. The programme was
launched to expose research proposals to external criticism, whilst expanding
international scientific and academic exchange between distinguished researchers
in Japan and the United Kingdom. Seminars consisted of half day events, hosted
by UCL Host scientists, selected from each field and attended by Japanese guest
speakers and PhD research students. |

| This programme has been hugely successful and
a number of highly distinguished Professors such as Professor Salvador Moncada,
Professor David Thomas and Professor Steve Humphries from the University College
London have participated in the event. |
