Fellowship Start Period: between 1 September 2012 to 30 November 2012

The JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowship (Standard Award) provides the opportunity for postdoctoral researchers to conduct collaborative research activities with leading research groups at Japanese Universities and Institutions for visits of 1 to 2 years.
In the UK, the call is now open until Thursday, 1 March 2012 for applications in the natural and physical sciences to be made to the Royal Society. The Royal Society receives a quota from JSPS to make nominations for awards.
Eligible applicants need to be a citizen of the UK or EU and hold a doctorate degree at the time the fellowship goes into effect or have obtained a doctorate degree no earlier than 2nd April 2006.
Applications are to be made via the Royal Society’s e-GAP system by Thursday, 1 March 2012.
Successful applicants are asked to start their fellowship between 1 September 2012 to 30 November 2012.
