29 Jun 2017 FY2018 Bilateral Joint Research Projects/ Seminars


Type A: Bilateral Joint Projects with JSPS’ Counterpart Institutions
This scheme is based on an agreement with the Royal Society.

Duration of Project: 2 years

*Starting date: 1 April 2018 to 31 March 2019 for the Japanese side and from 31 March 2018 to 2019 for the UK side.  

Application Period: 

JSPS: Wednesday 23rd August to Wednesday 6th September, 2017. Applications should be sent centrally by the institution in Japan to JSPS Tokyo. JSPS Tokyo does not accept applications from individual researchers and please note that the applicant's affiliated institution may set an earlier, internal deadline to collect and check the format of these applications before forwarding to JSPS Tokyo. Under no circumstances will JSPS Tokyo accept a late application.

Royal Society: 10th October 2017, 15:00 UK time. 

Type B: Open Partnership Joint Projects/Seminars

Duration of Project: 

Joint Projects – up to 2 years 

*Start date must be during the period of 1 April 2018 to 31 March 2019

Joint Seminars – up to 1 week
* Seminars must be held during the period of 1 April 2018 to 31 March 2019
