UK-Japan Symposium on Data-Driven Health: Data strategies to predict risk, prevent and manage disease in individuals and populations

Co-organisers: The Academy of Medical Sciences, Japan Society for the Promotion of Science and Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development.

This symposium, co-Chaired by Professor Jill Pell FMedSci and Dr Yuko Harayama, will bring together representatives from academia, industry and the healthcare sector in the UK and Japan around the theme of health data.

Throughout the day, speakers will address health data optimisation and resources including biobanks; engaging with patients and delivering care through digital platforms; and the application of health data to support clinicians through AI and machine learning.

This event is a part of the Japan-UK Season of Culture 2019-20, and aims to promote international scientific exchange and collaboration.
