Postdoctoral Fellowship (Standard)

JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowship (Standard) provides opportunities for young postdoctoral researchers from overseas to conduct cooperative research with leading groups in Japanese universities and other research institutions under the guidance of a host researcher.

Number (world wide)	330 per year (including 9 from the nominating Authorities in UK )
Duration of Stay	12 - 24 months
Coverage of Fellowship	Return air ticket Monthly maintenance allowance: ¥362,000 Settling-in allowance: ¥200,000 Overseas travel, accident and sickness insurance coverage Research grant of up to ¥1,500,000 per year (total of ¥3,000.000 for two years)

Application Method	Applications are submitted by the host researcher in Japan to JSPS Headquarters.
