UK-Japan Seminar: Chalcogenide nanoelectronics and photonics: a vehicle for collaboration and exchanges between Birmingham and Japan

Date and Time: 9:00-17:45 Tuesday 30th September 2025

Venue: Edgbaston Park Hotel, University of Birmingham Campus

This seminar is supported by the JSPS London Symposium and Seminar Scheme.

The aim of this event is to foster collaborative research between Birmingham and Japan in the field of chalcogenide nanoelectronics and photonics.

By bringing together leading experts and complimentary skillsets from the UK and Japan we will discuss ways to jointly further develop active chalcogenide materials for applications in data storage, optical routing, computing, displays, photovoltaics, and infrared detectors.
