FY2016 Call: JSPS Pathway to University Positions in Japan Fellowship for Postdoctoral Researchers

Application Deadline: Friday 4th September 2015

Fellowships must start between 1 April to 30 November 2016

Pathway to University Positions in Japan Fellowship for Postdoctoral Researchers provides the opportunity for researchers based outside of Japan to conduct collaborative research activities with leading research groups at Japanese Universities and research institutions. JSPS will fund the initial 12 to 24 months of the visit and the fellowship thereafter is designed to lead to full-time employment at the host institution. Eligible applicants need to be within 10 years of finishing their PhD. Eligible research fields are not limited.

There are 3 types of JSPS Invitation Fellowships for mid career to senior level researchers to do collaborative research in Japan:

Long term: for a 2 to 10 month visit

Short Term: for a 2 week to 2 month visit

Short Term (s): for a 1 week to 1 month visit 

Fellowship Start Period: between 1 April 2016 to 31 March 2017

Application Deadline: 4 September 2015
